Emory Renfroe

Emory J. Renfroe, Sr., 73, of Daytona Beach, formerly of Hastings, passed from this life Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Seaside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Daytona Beach. He was born in Brooks County, GA and had been a resident of Daytona Beach for the past 7 months coming from Gulfport, MS. Emory was raised in Hastings and was of the Pentecostal faith. He had worked with his father and brother at Renfroe Service Station in Hastings for many years. He had also been the owner/operator of several service stations in Jacksonville before starting a trucking business in Hastings. He enjoyed racing and working on racecars. He is preceded in death by his parents, Colon and Lottie Beckham Renfroe, brother, Nathan Elbert Renfroe, half-brothers, Clarence and S.L. Anderson, half-sister, Myrtice Law and grandson, Jeffery Renfoe. His is survived by his son, Emory Renfroe, Jr. of East Palatka, daughter, Tracey Pacetti of East Palatka, half-brother, Billy Anderson of Lakeland, GA, niece, Fonda Roberts, nephew, Lavon Renfroe, several half-nieces and nephews, 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Neal McDermott, Robby Burke, Carolyn and Wayne Kent and Shirley Collins for their friendship and continual support. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Keith Hutcheson officiating.
