Timothy Slaughter

Timothy Wayne Slaughter, 58, of Palm Coast, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Florida Hospital Hospice Care in Palm Coast following an extended illness. He was born and raised in Palatka. Timothy moved to Dublin, GA in 1992 before moving to Palm Coast in 2008. He had worked as a salesman at an auto dealership and was also owner/operator of a convenient store. He was a faithful, caring, devoted husband and father and was like a father to many children in his neighborhood. Timothy would often send friends and loved ones special surprises in the mail. He will be remembered fondly for these random acts of kindness. He is preceded in death by his parents, Argie Jackson Slaughter and Betty Currie Slaughter Greene, sons, Justin Andrew Wayne Slaughter and Winston St. John Slaughter, brothers, Glenn and Jack Slaughter and grandfather, Bernie Clinton Slaughter. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cindy Slaughter, son, Chandler St. John Slaughter of Portland, OR, daughter, Kimberly Lane Nettles of Starke, sister, Argena McQuaig and beloved fur baby, “Chewy”. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Willie McKinnon officiating. Burial will follow at Craig Memorial Park in St. Augustine. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the funeral home.
