Wanda Annabella Hartman, 72, of Palatka, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. Born in Milford Centre, Ohio, she moved to Palatka in 1986 from Bremen, Ohio. Wanda was a crematory operator with Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home’s Putnam Crematory from 1996-2004. She was a member of the College Road Church of Christ. Wanda was a Cherokee Native American and a member of the South Dakota Indian Reservation. In her leisure time, Wanda enjoyed painting ceramics, knitting, crocheting, reading, cooking and listening to Wind Song Native American Flute music. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lottie Goings, a son, Larry Elbert “Ebby” Hartman, a daughter, Robin Christine Oswald, a brother, Stanley Goings and a grandson, Chad Micheal Oswald. Wanda is survived by her husband of 45 years, Larry E. Hartman of Palatka, a son, James Dale Oswald (Debbie) of Glenford, OH, 3 daughters, Lora Elizabeth Cochran-Besecker (Larry) of Bradford, OH, Verna Alice Ellis (Rocky) of Grove City, OH and Wanda Kaylene Ladd (Shawn) of Palatka, a sister, Ruby Ward of Satsuma, a brother, Robert Goings of Utica, OH, 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. C.L. Overturf, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of services at 3:00 P.M.
