Mrs. Mavis Faye Wilson Stanaland, 66, of Albany, passed away Monday, August 08, 2016 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 12, 2016 at New Light Baptist Church Cemetery in Bridgeboro. Born April 13, 1950 in Moultrie, Mrs. Stanaland was the daughter of the late Leonard and Ida Louise Pate Wilson. She worked for several years in the restaurant industry and loved to cook and spend time with her family. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stanaland was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Stanaland. Survivors include three daughters, Glenda Sue Avery of Elberta, AL, Tammy Lynn Avery of Leesburg and Rachel Louise Martin of Albany; Fiance, Brian McLendon of Albany; two step-children; three sisters, Judy Yeomans of Florida, Linda Benson of Cordele and Jane Blair of LaGrange, GA; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Thursday evening at Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Hall and Hall Funeral Home was given the honor to serve the Stanaland family.
