Daniel O. Strickland, 64, of Athens, passed away on March 25, 2017, surround by his family. He was the son of the late William D. Strickland and Reutrell Baxter Strickland and was preceded in death by his daughter, Marie Garrett and five brothers. Survivors include his wife Patricia Strickland; daughters, Gennie Shirley and Cathy Jenkins; sisters, Pat Warren, Peggy Usry, Faye Swain and brother, Dwight Strickland. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 2 o’clock at Bridges Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12 noon till time of the service.
