Lee Henderson

Lee M. Henderson age 85 of Clarkesville, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. Born in Boaz, Alabama on May 22, 1931, he was a son of the late John and Estelle Dixon Henderson. Mr. Henderson was a member of Chopped Oak Baptist Church and the owner of Lee Henderson Home Improvement where he brought new life to many homes for over 50 years. He enjoyed gardening, walking, fellowshipping with others and spending time with family especially his grandchildren. Mr. Henderson proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Chapman Henderson; sisters, Ruby Gail Peppers and Ruth ¬¬¬¬Henderson. Surviving are his son & daughter-in-law, Mike & Joy Henderson of Clarkesville; brother & sister-in-law, James & Dorothy Henderson of Boaz, AL; grandchildren & spouses, Matthew & Lindsey Henderson of Dacula, Brody & Christy Henderson of Atoka, TN, and Cara & Julian Arnold of Clarkesville; and great grandchild, Bentley Henderson. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 am Friday, January 13, 2017, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors and Rev. Scott Slaton officiating. All friends and family are requested to be at the cemetery by 10:45 am. The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
