Raylan Joseph Tharp, infant son of Chase J. and Kaitlyn M. (Bauman) Tharp, was stillborn on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Dupont Hospital in Ft. Wayne. He is survived by his parents, Chase and Kaitlyn Tharp of Decatur; paternal grandparents, Joe and Elaine Tharp of Decatur; maternal grandparents, John and Karen Bauman of Monroeville; paternal great grandfathers, Gerald R. (Helen) Miller and Bill Tharp both of Decatur; maternal great grandmother, Joan Bauman of Wolcottville; paternal uncles, Derick Tharp, Ryan Tharp, and Jeremy (Katie) Tharp; maternal uncle, Joseph (Brittany) Bauman; maternal aunts, Jacquelyn (Troy) Haugk and Angelyn Bauman; 6 first cousins. Raylan was preceded in death by his paternal great grandmothers, Mary Ann C. Miller and Janet K. Tharp; maternal great grandfather, Edward A. Bauman; maternal great grandparents, Robert D. and LuAnn M. Kennerk; and a maternal aunt, Carolyn J. Bauman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with visitation 1 hour prior in the St. Mary’s Parish Hall from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Fr.
