Dean Kilgore, age 72, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in his home. He was born March 10, 1944 in Marion, Indiana to the late Morris and Lolita (Townsend) Kilgore. He worked in production at Dana Corporation for 37 years, retiring in 2001. He married Sharon Ann Turner on October 3, 1961, and she survives. He enjoyed going to car shows and his garage was his haven. He loved working on anything motorized, gardening and was a quiet, easy-going man and an amazing father. Dean was a member of the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kilgore, of Marion, Indiana; two sons, Jeff (Tressa) Kilgore of Amboy, Indiana and Mark (Marilyn) Kilgore of Marion, Indiana; a daughter, Shelly (Greg) Bohler of Garrett, Indiana; a sister, Diana (Bill) Snodgrass of LaFontaine, Indiana; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael Dean Kilgore and Robert Allan Kilgore. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016 in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Reverend Tony Hansen officiating. Burial will immediately follow funeral services in Park Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana. Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016 in the funeral home prior to funeral services.
