Beth Lavon Hawk, 53, of Atchison, KS passed away unexpectedly, Friday November 18, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, MO.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at First Christian Church with Rev. Matt Broxterman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison, KS. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday November 22, 2016 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, KS. Beth was born on November 7, 1963 the daughter of Melvin and Nora Jean (Winzer) Wohlgemuth. She graduated from Atchison High School. In the past Beth worked as a pharmacy tech for thirteen years at Walmart and at H & R Block for five years. Most recently she was a representative for insurance financial services at Mosaic Life Care Hospital. Beth was a member of First Christian Church, was always redecorating her house, enjoyed animals and going to the casinos and auctions. She was known to be riding around in her car jamming out to music. She was very involved in her kid’s school activities and she loved spending time with her family. Beth would welcome anyone into her home and she cared deeply for all who knew her.

Beth married Don Hawk on April 13, 1985 at First Christian Church. He survives of the home. Survivors include their children Colette Hawk, Heather Hawk, Thad Hawk, Kaylee Hawk all of Atchison, KS, her mother Nora Jean Wohlgemuth, Atchison, KS, two sisters; Jeanne (Larry) Pickman, Horton, KS, Joanie (Rick) Abel, Nortonville, KS, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and brother; Stanley Wohlgemuth.
