BILL HAMILTON Obituary

William Earl “Bill” Hamilton, 64, of Mound City, Kansas, died Tuesday, December 08, 2009 at his home. He was born April 17, 1945 in Fort Scott, Kansas, the son of Rees and Evelyn Marie Gatlin Hamilton. Bill graduated from Pleasanton High School Class of 1963. He served his country with the United States Army from 1964 until his retirement in 1984. He served with the Cento Team during his tour in Germany. Upon retirement he was engaged in farming and ranching. He married Regina Felix on December 29, 1989. Bill was a member of the Pleasanton Saddle Club and loved his Harley’s. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Douglas Hamilton who died in 1968 and a son, William Earl Hamilton Jr who died in 1988. Survivors include his wife, Regina of the home; one son; Delrees Hamilton of Kansas City, Kansas ; two daughters, Tonja Hamilton of Kansas City, Kansas and Christina Hamilton of Mound City, Kansas; a step-son, Jason Taylor of Pleasanton, Kansas; three step-daughters, Andrea Marshall of Pleasanton, Kansas, Tammy Morris of Baldwin, Kansas and Royan Swartz of Gardner, Kansas; three sisters, Anna Lee Holtgraver of Spring Hill, Kansas, Betty Ka Beatty of Bloomington, Illinois and Judith Marie Holtgraver of Edgerton, Kansas and eighteen grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Friday at the chapel. Contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery, Mound City, Kansas. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.coffelschneider.com.
