Frankfort – Dorothy Ann Lewis Dean Henry, 79 years, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, left this life Sunday, February 12, 2012, to be with her precious Lord.
Services for Mrs. Henry will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Harrod Brothers Memorial Chapel with Rev. Don Karsner officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
A native of Frankfort, she was born September 3, 1932, to Robert A. and Rachel Brawner Lewis. She was a Medicaid Auditor in the Cabinet for Human Resources, Commonwealth of Kentucky and retired with 27 years of service. Mrs. Henry was a member of Camp Pleasant Baptist Church. She loved to travel, fish, dance and spend time with her family.
Mrs. Henry is survived by her husband of 44 years, William J. Henry; children, Sonny (Barbara) Dean, Michael (Amanda) Dean, Donna Sue (Doug) Hockensmith, Bobby Dean, Wilson, NC, Elizabeth “Tweety” (Allen) Redmon; brothers, William Lewis, Charles Lewis, Elbert Lewis, Jimmy Lewis, London, KY; sisters Frances Moore, Lura Brown, Graefenburg, Virginia Sharp, Bokeelia, FL; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Scottie Ralston; brothers, Henry, Bob and Harry Scott Lewis and sister, Tommie Hockensmith.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Dean, Buddy Ralston, Danny Cheatham, Dustin Dean, Troy Dean and Allen Jacob Redmon. Serving as honorary bearers will be Tony Cheatham, Charlene Cheatham, Josh Flora, Sonnie Dean, Summer Dean, Crystal Green, Anna Henry, Sara Hall, Toby Bryant and John Graham.
