Ray Sagraves, 92, of Grayson passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. He was born May 25, 1924 in Grayson, a son of the late Willie and Rosa Mosier Sagraves. Mr. Sagraves was of the Baptist faith and walked with the Lord for 53 years. He retired from General Refractories where he worked 26-1/2 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters; Nora (Taylor) Wells, Izora (Jake) Johnson, and Susie (John) Sparks; two brothers, Bill (Opal) Sagraves and Clem (Clara) Sagraves; a son-in-law, Scott Bowling. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Helen Deloris (Gifford); a son, Larry (Norna) Sagraves, of Ft. Gay, WV; a daughter, Donna Sue Sagraves Bowling of Kitts Hill, OH; a brother, Earl (Maurice) Sagraves of Columbus, OH; four grandchildren, Alex (Mandy) Sagraves, Brandon Bowling, Jordan Bowling, and Dakota Sagraves; two great-grandchildren, Braeden Sagraves and Declan Sagraves.
