Charles Robert "Bob" Hussung

Hussung, Charles Robert “Bob”, 77, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at his home. Born in Louisville, he was a proud alumnus of DuPont Manual High School, where he played state championship baseball. He then went on to graduate from University of Louisville with a Bachelor’s Degree. He also earned a Master’s Degree from Indiana University. He taught Physical Education at North Haven Elementary School and coached basketball, track, and gymnastics. He was an avid UofL Cardinals fan. Bob was also a lifelong member of Salem United Church of Christ. Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Marlene Hussung and sister, Elaine Smith. He is survived by his wife, Paula Hussung; children, Mark Hussung (Cynthia Sullivan) and Laura Revlett (Gary); stepchildren, David Baker (Nancy) and Sarah Baker; brother, William Hussung; grandchildren, Zachary Burkhardt, Sean Michael Hussung, Rhianon Hussung, Shelby Baker, Justin Baker and numerous nieces; nephews. Bob’s memorial service will be Monday, February 6, 2017 at 6:00 pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until time of service at 6:00. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus or Nazareth Home.
