<p>Florence Goss Lefler, 100, our dear, sweet mom, died peacefully Wednesday 2/15/17 at Seneca Place Nursing Home. </p><p><br></p><p>Mom was preceded in death by husbands, John T. Goss, Sr. and James R. Lefler (Buck); brother, Phil Miller; aunt Kate Miller who raised her and her beloved dog, Fred.</p><p><br></p><p> She is survived by children John T. Goss, Jr (Bettie), James P. Goss (Julie) and Sherree K. Goss: stepchildren Donna Tucker (Ron) and Patricia Bedan (Dan); two grandchildren, Elizabeth and John; three step-grandchildren, Keith, Thomas and Karen; and six great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Mom enjoyed crocheting, tending to her African violets and visiting with neighbors. She enjoyed traveling and was a wonderful cook, feeding anyone who graced her door. But her main enjoyments in life were her kids and grandkids. </p><p><br></p><p>Mom’s visitation will be from 2-7pm, Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with service at 7pm. Burial is private.</p><p><br></p><p>We wish to thank everyone at Seneca Place for their loving care. We want to thank nursing assistant, Troy Johnson, who was with her when she died. Everyone loved her and we are forever grateful.</p><p><br></p>
