Livermore Falls – William “Bill” L. Chabot, 84, a resident of Foundry Road, Livermore Falls, died early Friday morning, December 17th, at his daughter’s home surrounded by his family. He was born February 21, 1926 in Rumford, the son of Joseph William Chabot and Valeda (Gilbert) Chabot. Bill attended St. Rose of Lima School in Jay and Livermore Falls High School. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.I.I. and Korea in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater. Bill was predeceased by five wives, Shirley Savage, Peg Smith, Helen Austin, Barbara Knox and Vickie Savano. On February 15, 2003, he married Lorette (Gosselin) Fournier. Bill worked at Livermore Shoe and later became a restaurant entrepreneur. Bill owned and operated Bill’s Lobster House, Town Squire, and the In Town in Livermore Falls, Silver Dollar in Rumford, and Escargot in Lewiston. Bill was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. He was a lifetime member of the Frank L. Mitchell V.F.W. Post # 3335 and AmVets Post # 33 in Jay, he was a former Commander of the American Legion George Bunton Post # 10 in Livermore Falls; and he was also a member of the Elks Club in Florida. Bill enjoyed hunting, camping and time spent with his family. He is survived by his wife Lorette Chabot, his daughter Gail Cameron and her husband Jim, his son Joseph “Joey” Chabot and his sister Diana Richard all of Livermore Falls; stepchildren, Marlene Walker and her husband Scott; Patricia Donald and her husband James all of Jay; Gail Nickle and her husband Dick of Buckfield; Louise Chandler and her husband John; David Fournier and his wife Robin all of Wilton; and Mike Fournier of Maryland; grandchildren, Will and Ashley Chabot and Kelly Dyer, 13 step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Hailei and Gabriel Chabot and 18 step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Dot Galuzza, brothers, Joseph and Fred Chabot and his granddaughter, Rebecca Jo Chabot Clavet. Messages of condolence may be sent to: www.finleyfuneralhome.com

A Mass of Christian Burial with full military honors will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 20th at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1 Church Street, Jay, Maine. Visiting hours will be 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Sunday, December 19th at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Members of the military organizations will meet at the funeral home at 6:30 P.M. Interment Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Avenue, Augusta, Maine.
