Allen Chester Eugene, son of Charles and Luella Louise (Johnson) Carey, was born on June 21, 1948 in Jarrettsville, Maryland. He passed away peacefully at Westgate Hills Rehab and Healthcare Center in Baltimore, Maryland, on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at age 68.

Allen was one of three children. He attended the Central Consolidated School in Hickory, Maryland and later joined St. James Methodist Church in Jarrettsville. Allen was employed by the Wiring Factory Company of Hunt Valley, located in Cockeysville, Maryland. He loved visiting the Home Depot Store in Bel Air, MD, with his friend Charles Dunsen. Allen was also good with small electrical projects. Allen had the opportunity to live in Baltimore and Hereford, Maryland, as well as York, Pennsylvania, but Jarrettsville was always considered home.

Allen later moved to Randallstown, Maryland and resided at the Maximum Assistant Living facility, for eight years. He moved to Westgate Hills Rehab and Healthcare Center when his health began to fail. Allen was well known and loved by many. He will be remembered for his willingness to help anyone in need.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his brother Robert (Bobby) Carey and his sister, Dorothy (Dot) Rebecca Carey. Allen leaves to cherish his memory: a host of nieces, cousins, other relatives, friends and personal guardian and friend, Mr. Charles Dunsen.
