Harmer L. Prince

Harmer Lee Prince, Sr. was born to Scott and Jullia Prince in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. After graduating high school he joined the United States Army. <br/><br/>Bro. Prince married Helen and to that union six children were born. Following twenty eight years of honorable military service and travel around the world, including tours of duty in Viet Nam, Korea and the Philippines, Bro. Prince retired as a senior instructor at the U. S. Army Ordnance Center and School, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. <br/><br/>He joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with Sis. Prince, under the pastorate of the late Rev. Dr. Herman M. Williamson. He attended regularly and served as a member of the Trustee Board. <br/><br/>Time was then available to enjoy the pleasures of his life – fishing, hunting, stamp and coin collecting and making ceramic pieces. He especially enjoyed gardening and was well known for his beautiful flower gardens and his vegetables were shared with family, friends and neighbors.<br/><br/>Bro. Prince was predeceased by his loving wife, Helen Prince, and a daughter, Pamela A. Prince. Left to cherish his memory are children Valerie F. (Ronald) Long, Phoenix, Arizona, Harmer L. (LaVerne) Prince, Jr., Augusta, Georgia, David W. (Ute) Prince, Germany, Carolyn S. (Virgil) Prince, Bel Camp, Maryland and Monica Prince, Aberdeen, Maryland and a host of grandchildren and great grand- children.<br/>

Harmer Lee Prince, Sr. was born to Scott and Jullia Prince in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. After graduating high school he joined the United States Army.

Bro. Prince married Helen and to that union six children were born.
