Corbo Jr, George Anthony , age 77, a resident of Norfolk for over forty years, died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 15th, 2009 at his home.

Born in Boston on May 5, 1931, he was a son of the late George A. and Barbara (Taylor) Corbo. Mr. Corbo was raised in Needham and was a double eagle, having graduated from both B.C. High School and Boston College. He was a veteran of service with the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Corbo was a self employed carpet installer for more than fifty years. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed skeet and trap shooting , fishing, listening to country music, and reading. He was a member of the NRA, the Medfield Sportsman’s Club and the Fin, Fur and Feather Club.

Predeceased by his wife Marjorie Ruth (O’Reilly) Corbo in 2007, he is survived by a daughter, Samantha Jane Corbo of Norfolk, a sister, Faith Casler of South Natick, and three brothers, William Corbo of NH, Robert “Joe” Corbo of Dover, and Jerome Corbo of CA.

A funeral service will be held at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Miller Street, Medfield, on Friday, Feb. 20th at 2:00p.m. Burial will be private.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday 4 – 8p.m.
