George C. Norregaard Obituary

Of Waltham, passed away peacefully Friday January 6th, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease at the Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley in Billerica at the age of 80.


Born on May 16, 1936 in Boston; son of the late Harold and Jennie (Chessman) Norregaard, George was raised in the Roxbury and Jamaica Plain sections of Boston, before moving to Waltham for 25 years and has been a resident of Billerica since 2011.


A graduate of Boston Trade High School, George furthered his education at Northeastern University and Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.


He was a member of the Mason Blue Lodge, National Rifle Association and the Woburn Gun and Sportsman Club. George was a passionate outdoors man who loved fishing & hunting.


Beloved husband for 60 years to Dorothy (McLellan) Norregaard, devoted & loving father of Frederick Norregaard and his wife Christine of Dracut, George C. Norregaard 2nd and his wife Amy of Bedford, Brian Norregaard and his wife Marlee of Lowell, Harold Norregaard of Billerica, Robert McLellan and his Margie of GA, and the late Paul Norregaard.


Dear brother of the late Mildred Clifton and Eva Munsell.


Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Graveside Funeral Service in celebration of George's Life at Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect St., Waltham on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Visiting Hours will be held in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapel, 325 Trapelo Rd., BELMONT on Wednesday from 4 – 7 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
