Known by all who love her as Trudy. Formerly of Waltham, she passed away peacefully in her home in Marlborough surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 26, 2017. She was 99, but forever young. Born and raised in Ashfield, MA to the late Michael and Mary (Phillips) Pollen. When her children were grown she resumed her career at the Reservoir Nursing Home in Waltham. During retirement she brought her energy and charm to her work at the Concord Auto Auction. As a youngster, Trudy excelled in basketball and softball and remained an athlete throughout her life. She held onto her love of sports and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, her favorite player was Ted Williams. Trudy was an amazing cook and loved cooking for her family and friends. Her sauce recipe is made by her children and grandchildren across the country. Her kindness, compassion and generosity will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
