Joan Adel (Best) Nolin, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater with her family at her side. No services are scheduled at this time. A celebration of life for Joan is planned on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 2:30 PM at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier, OH after the Best Family Reunion. The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. She was born November 21, 1922 in Williams County, Ohio to Lester and Zola (Flickinger) Best. On December 30, 1945, Joan married Warren Kelso Nolin in Montpelier, Ohio. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1998. Joan and Warren moved to Coldwater in 1954 where they raised their large family. Joan was a homemaker and her family was her life. She loved them and they adored her. Joan worked at the Coldwater State Home and retired after 10 years. She lived the last eight years at Burns Park apartments and enjoyed her neighbors and friends at the Coldwater Burnside Senior Center. Her eight children survive: Melinda (Bob) Fast, Gregory Nolin, Jeffrey (Yoshilko) Nolin, Suzanne (Mike) Smith, Randall (Julie) Nolin, Rickalene (Kit) Snyder, Douglas (Kathy Wilkinson) Nolin and Nianne (Nick) Bonnenfant, 19 grandchildren, Nathan (Jenny) Fast, Jennifer (Matt) Latham, Emily (Adam) Rissman, Ben Nolin, Kenta Nolin, Miki Nolin, Joshua (Tammy) Smith, Jacob Smith, Adam (Sheena) Nolin, Cameron (Nicole) Nolin, MacKenzie Snyder, Grace (Kevin) Boyle, Nolan Snyder, Ryan Nolin, Travis Nolin, Adam (April) Wilkinson, Zolton, Zya and Azailya Bonnenfant, 13 great grandchildren, Camden, Rylin, Lexi (Nathan Slatter) Harris, Christian and Owen Fast, Trace and Tighe Rissman, Dakota and Skylar Smith, Giuliana Nolin, Zander and Cadence Wilkinson and Dawson Slatter. Joan is also survived by sisters, Marjorie Priest of Gainsville, TX, Charlotte Culler of Bryan, OH, Phyllis (George) Koesterman of Cincinnati, OH, and one brother, Dr. James (Peggy) Best of Columbus, OH. In addition to her husband and parents, Joan was preceded in death by a baby brother Donald Best and a young sister, Merideth Best. Memorials may be directed to H.C.
