Michael Farrell Obituary

Michael D. Farrell, 68, of Coldwater, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the Community Health Center of Branch County. The funeral service will be Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor Don Matteson from Batavia Community Church officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson. Michael was born September 28, 1948 in Edmore, MI to Eugene “Mick” & Elva “Jean” (Berndt)Farrell. He married Paulette A. Brown on May 12, 1989 in Coldwater. Mr. Farrell was a diesel mechanic for Wal-Mart Distribution Center for 18 years, retiring in November 2016. He had also worked for many years at Klink Trucking in Ashley, IN. Mike was active in 4-H, spending many years as a leader for 4-H Exchange Club. He enjoyed sports, especially football, coaching Rocket and Bronson Jr. High teams. He also coached Little League and Sandy Koufax Baseball. Mike was an avid Ohio State fan and outdoorsman who loved to watch wildlife in his backyard. Mike is survived by his wife Paulette, his children Audrey (Corey) Olds of Coon Rapids, IA, Steven Farrell of Des Moines, IA, Tia Farrell, his mother Jean Geesey of Archbold, OH, his brother Rodney “Rock” (Sue) Farrell of Edmore and his grandchildren Rowdy and Rally Olds. He was preceded in death by his father Mick Farrell and brother David “Davey” Farrell. Memorials may be directed to Bronson Boosters Jr. High Football or 4-H Exchange Club. www.dutcherfh.com.
