Gary L. "Duke" Martin Jr Lansing Gary L. Martin Jr. age 46, of Lansing went home to be with the Lord on November 09, 2016. He passed away peacefully at home. Gary was born on January 24, 1970 to Gary L. Martin Sr. and Dottie L. Patrick. Gary grew up in the Ionia/Portland area and lived in Lansing for his final years. Gary loved his family and friends. He had a passion for hunting, a great love for riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and putting the “pedal to the metal” in the custom Mustang built by him and his father. Gary is preceded in death by his father, Gary L. Martin Sr. and mother, Dottie L. Patrick. He is survived by his step-mother, Roberta Martin; daughters, Samantha (Bobby) Baxter and Shantell (Ryne) Smith; sisters, Mickey Thorn, DeeDee Sutton, Trina VanSiclen, and Jasmine Martin; grandchildren, Vincent, Laila, and Mikey; and several brother-in-law’s, nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog, Harley. The family will gather at the Wagon Wheel Bar & Grill, 7888 E. Grand River Ave., Portland, from 12-4 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2016 for Gary's “final ride” and "see you laters".
