Age 85, went to be together forever with the Lord and her husband Paul on Monday November 10, 2003. She was born on July 16, 1918 in Boston, MA the daughter of Peter and Jenny (Gundersen) Fure. Mrs. Burch was a member of the Ionia Historical Society and attended the First Assembly of God Church in Ionia. She worked for the Chrysler Corporation, Federal Mogul, the Ionia County Commission on Aging, and volunteered for the Montcalm County Intermediate School District for many years. She graduated from Wayne State University, receiving her B.A. in Eduation, and from the Detroit Business College, receiving her business certificate. She also graduated from the Genapol Music School as a concert artist in violin. She taught violin for 40 years. Lillian married Paul R. Burch on April 21, 1945 and he preceded her in death on August 2, 1975. Also preceding her in death was a grandson, Ernest Charles Zierle. Surviving are her 2 sons, Robert M. Burch of Montreal, Quebec, and Douglas M. (Thelma) Burch of Fenwick; 4 daughters, Brenda (Robert) Forrister of Coldwater, Karen (Lee Weisz) Zierle of Knoxville, TN, Sharon L. (Stephen) Marchese of Sheridan, and Kristine (Conrad) Campbell of Ionia; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. The Funeral Service will be conducted by the Rev. Conrad Campbell at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2003 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Cook Chapel, 220 Rich Street, Ionia with Interment following at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Ionia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
