A. Ilene Corp, age 97 passed away at her home on December 22, 2016. She was born on April 2, 1919 in Gratiot County, MI the daughter of Arthur and Cordelia (Peet) Gruesbeck. Ilene graduated in 1938 from Morrice High School and later worked at Redmond's, General Telephone Co and Ovid Convalescent Manor. On March 14, 1944 she married Gerald B. Corp in Ovid, MI and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1979. Ilene is survived by her daughters, Peg Corp of Lansing and Pat (Jack) Bailey of Fallbranch, TN. Brother Vaun Gruesbeck of Ovid, MI, Hattie Spencer of Owosso , , Marjorie Gruesbeck of Perry, , Jeannette Gruesbeck of St. Johns, Rolla (Colleen) Gruesbeck of Ovid, Grace of PA, Marjorie (Ray) Behrens of Houghton Lake. Grandchildren, Jenny Goodrich of Lansing, Jerry Corp of Owosso, Shuree (Bryan) Malone of Gray, TN, Matt (Susan) Bailey of Fall Branch, TN Great grandchildren, Brittany Goodrich of Lansing, Dylan Corp of Perry, Abigale Corp of Owosso, Katlyn Corp of Owosso, Beth and Chad Malone of Gray, TN and John Bailey of Fall Branch, TN. Ilene was preceded in death by 2 sons, Steve and Gary Corp. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home in St. Johns beginning at 11:00 AM. with Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Owosso. The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
