Christopher Scott “Chris” Armstrong, age 43, passed away on Tuesday October 4, 2016 in Scott County. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 6, 2016 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Friday October 7, 2016 from 8:30AM until 9:50AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Friday October 7, 2016 at 10:00AM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. John Miles and Bro. Matt Armstrong. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Armstrong had lived in the Forkville Community all of his life. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He loved fishing, hunting, football, and Mississippi State University. He also enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack Armstrong, Sr. and Bertha Armstrong; maternal grandfather, Charles Winstead; maternal great-grandmother, Ruth G. Winstead; and his uncle, Charles Winstead, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Georgia Armstrong of Morton, MS; parents, Jim and Mary R. Armstrong of Morton, MS; one son, Dillon Heggins of Benton, AR; two brothers, Jim W. Armstrong, Jr. and wife Donna of Morton, MS and Shannon Armstrong and wife Chrissy of Morton, MS; two grandchildren, Brodie Heggins and Braxton Heggins; special friend, Raymond Latham and his dog, “Socks”; three special great-nephews, Payson, Jax, and Carson; and a host of other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Raymond Latham, Klint Warren, Gordon Jones, Andy Thompson, Joe Lockert, Jason Lasiter, Ethan Harrell, Michael Armstrong, Will Garner, Carson Rineheart, and Payson Knight. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Armstrong, Jason Cordell, Scott Windham, Joey Champion, Jeff Champion, John Mark Franklin, Chris Spears, Jonathan Rineheart, and Chase Measells.
