Larkin Wayne Hopkins

Larkin Wayne Hopkins, Sr., 93, of Arkabutla, MS, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his home. He was a member of Frasier Baptist Church in Memphis, TN for 50 years, a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and a former trainer with SYS Football League in Memphis. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Hopkins is survived by one daughter, Linda Hopkins of Arkabutla, MS; one son, Larkin Wayne Hopkins, Jr., of St. Joe, AR and two grandchildren, Larkin Wayne Hopkins, III and Cassidy Breeann Hopkins. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 ½ years, Sibyl M. Hopkins and his parents, Effie Dean Carter Hopkins and Phillip Daniel Hopkins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at Ray-Nowell Funeral Home in Senatobia. Visitation will be from 12:30-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Memphis, TN. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home- Senatobia Chapel has charge of arrangements.
