Nancy Jo Zugaj Carter, 63, of Kansas City MO., passed away Monday, March 13, 2017. Visitation followed by a Memorial Service will be 10-11 a.m. Monday March 20, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO, 64055. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Nancy Jo was born September 30, 1953, in Independence, MO to her parents Joseph and Vernah (Vincent) Zugaj. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph. She is survived by her husband Roy Carter of Kansas City, MO, her mother Vernah Zugaj of Kansas City, MO., and her brother Jeff Zugaj and sister-in-law Sharon Zugaj of Lee Summit, MO. Nancy worked at Honeywell Kansas City Plant for 44 years until she retired in 2014. She was a loving wife and companion. She always had a smile, a story and kept her friends on their toes. She was a wonderful friend and will be greatly missed by all. She will be cremated. She was devoted to her Catholic faith.
