Donnie Ray Wilkinson of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on July 24, 1952 in Mineral Point, Missouri. A son of the late, Velma (Nettles) Wilkinson and the late, John Guy Wilkinson. Donnie departed this life on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of sixty-four years, five months and twenty-eight days. Donnie was united in marriage to Sharon Hill on March 23, 1974 in Hopewell, Missouri and they were blessed with four children. Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Wilkinson of forty-two years of Mineral Point, Missouri; two sons, Robert William Wilkinson and wife, Shelley of Blackwell, Missouri; Timothy James Wilkinson and wife, Sara of Mineral Point, Missouri; one sister, Ellen Bowen and husband, Buddy of Potosi, Missouri; two brothers, John Wilkinson and wife, Sue of Leasburg, Missouri; Vearn “Butch” Wilkinson and wife, Loretta of Potosi, Missouri; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Merissa (Roo), Avery; also surviving are other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by one daughter, Tonya Elaine Wilkinson, one son, Terry Wayne Wilkinson, three sisters, Judy Jenkins, Carolyn Stevenson, Loretta Fay Wilkinson, one brother, Ralph Guy Wilkinson. Donnie loved spending time outdoors, going fishing, hunting and taking rides on his motorcycle. He enjoyed working and tinkering on just about anything he could, watching T.V. and singing karaoke. Donnie was known for being a jokester and loving life. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially if it was a fish fry. Donnie will be forever remembered and lovingly missed by his family and friends. Visitation was held Monday, January 23, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. A Funeral Service was held Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Pastor Jim Wade officiating. Final Prayers and Burial took place in the New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Alan White, Chris Pidcock, Tim Farley Jr., Travis McMahan, Bobby McMahan, Steve Walton, Keith Jackson, Johnathon Wilkinson and George Politte. Moore Funeral Homes was honored to have been selected to serve Donnie, his family and friends in their time of need.
