Karen Sue Veach Obituary

Karen Sue Veach of Cadet, Missouri was born on September 26, 1946 in Skowhegan, Maine. A daughter of the late, Paul Plourde and the late, Eva (Perkins) Plourde. Karen went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 7, 2017 having reached the age of seventy-years, four months and twelve days. Karen was united in marriage to Charles Veach on April 24, 1965 in Bangor, Maine and shared fifty-one wonderful years of marriage together and were blessed with four children. Karen will be very deeply missed by those who survive her, including her husband, Charles Veach of Cadet, Missouri; two daughters, Diana Bailey and her husband, Scott of St. Louis, Missouri; Angie Roney and her husband, Bill of Terre Du Lac, Missouri; two sons, David Veach and his wife, Tracy of Potosi, Missouri; Bob Veach and his wife, Tabatha of Bonne Terre, Missouri; nine grandchildren: Bethany, Jordan, Grace, Hunter, Hayden, Emily, Ava, Evan, Cooper; one great-grandchild, Macyn; also surviving are other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Sylvia Campbell and Henrietta Bowen, three brothers, Paul Plourde, Robert Plourde and Evan Plourde. Karen was a parishioner of the St. Joachim Catholic Church. She always enjoyed attending Mass and worshiping her Lord and Savior. She loved her family and spending time with them, especially at Christmas. She enjoyed taking shopping trips especially Christmas shopping. She adored her grandchildren and spoiling them any chance she had. Karen will be very deeply missed by all who knew her. Visitation was held Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday, February 10, 2017 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father James Hanson officiating. Final Prayers and Burial were in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri. Honoring Karen by serving as pallbearers were: Scott Bailey, Billy Roney, Jordan Veach, Bill Veach, Frank Campbell and Ken Coleman. Moore Funeral Homes is privileged to have been selected to serve Karen, her family and friends in their time of remembrance.
