Clifford “Tip” Stufflebean, 86 of Springfield, Mo died peacefully on Thursday, February 2nd, 2017 in his home surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
Tip was born Sept 26, 1930 to Willard and Emma Ruth Stufflebean in Brookfield, Mo.
He was a veteran serving in the Army Air Force. Tip was a self-taught journeyman sheet metal worker. Working at Paul Mueller and Rose Sheet Metal. His talent for his work took him to Japan, Italy and Holland.
He was married to Bonnie Colleen (Doty) for 51 years. Bonnie preceded him in death in 2001.
He met and married his wife of 13 years Mary Ellen.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters Dena Ball and Margaret Coe, 1 brother Delbert Stufflebean.
Tip is survived by his wife Mary, 3 children, daughter Bonnie (Ron) Essick, son Alan (Nancy) Stufflebean, daughter Linda (Danny) Burlison. Nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Nephews Jim and David Ball and special friends Harry and Ruth Brotzman and Mike and Linda Vaini.
He loved helping others by fixing any broken item they might bring him. He was affectionately nicknamed “Dr. Fixit.” One of his proudest accomplishments was sponsoring a young girl into the Shriners Hospital where she received the surgeries she needed to help her walk.
He loved and adored his children and grandchildren, always entertaining them with songs and funny stories. He is already missed but we know we will see him again.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 10:00 am in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with the burial following in Blue Eye Cemetery, Blue Eye, MO. Visitation for Tip will be on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the funeral home.
