Clifford Ramon Deadmond

Clifford Ramon Deadmond passed away at the age of 77 on January 10th, 2017 at Renown Hospital in Reno, Nevada after fighting cancer for over six years. He was born in Chico, CA to Robert and Martha Deadmond. He had five brothers (Robert, Wendell, Gerald, Leland and Steve)and a sister (Linda) growing up. He attended Chico High School and college at Chico State where he did some amateur boxing. He was married to Sylvia Waters and had two children, a daughter, Becky, and a son, Scott. He later married Karen Kuzara and had two sons, Jeremy and Jason. He and Karen were married for forty six years. He worked in Reno, NV most of his life as a computer and data analyst holding various positions and levels of responsibility. A lifelong member of the NRA he was an avid sportsman. He would often take hunting and fishing trips with friends and family including his grandchildren. It was one of his favorite things to do in life. He was involved with sports most of his life where he dabbled in many different sports including boxing, football, baseball, basketball, long distance running, and golf. He completed a couple of marathons and instilled in his children a love for sports. He took great pride in being a high school and college football referee for over thirty years. He was strong in his religious beliefs and involved for a number of years with the Catholic Church at Our Lady of Snows as one of the Knights of Columbus. Cliff was a very giving, kind man known by all for his heart of gold. He was always ready to provide help whenever it was needed. He had a broad knowledge of handyman and mechanical skills and was often asked for help when anything was broken since he had a way of fixing everything. He is survived by his wife, Karen in Reno, NV, and his children: daughter Becky and spouse Rob in Chico, CA, son Scott and spouse Anne Marie in Chico, CA, son Jeremy and spouse Melissa in Reno, NV, and son Jason and spouse Stacy in Reno, NV. His grandchildren are Curtis, Derek, Jace, Erik, Sean, Alex, and Ashley. He had one great-grandchild, Carson. His living siblings are Gerald, Linda, Leland, and Steve. Services will be held January 27th at 11 am at Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church in Reno, NV. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Renown Hospital for all the care and love they showed to Cliff and his family. They would also like to thank Accellence Home Medical which provided the oxygen supplies for Cliff over the years; they went above and beyond with their kindness. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your favorite cancer society.
