Myrtle Moore

Myrtle S. Moore, 92, of Meredith, NH, died November 10, 2016, at Genesis Elder Care in Wolfeboro, after a period of declining health. Born in South Tamworth, NH. on February 2, 1924, she was the daughter of Nathan J. and Gladys Marion (Ames) Stacy. Myrtle grew up in Tamworth and graduated from Tamworth High School and from Oxford Secretarial School, in Cambridge, MA. She has been a resident for most all her life. Myrtle worked as an office manager, for John F. Chick and Sons, in Silver Lake, NH. for eleven years and then for twenty-three years as a bookkeeper for the former Wirthmore Store, which became Meredith Lumber, in Meredith. During her retirement, Myrtle worked part-time for three years for the Meredith Public Health Nursing Association. Myrtle was a sixty member of the Calvin Topliff #18 Order of Eastern Star, North Conway, NH. Myrtle married Malcolm F. Hazeltine Sr. in 1947 and was predeceased by her second husband, Albert R. Moore, who died in January of 2006. Myrtle is survived by her children, Nathan L. Hazeltine of Gilford, NH. Beth H. Miller of Meredith, NH., Malcolm F. Hazeltine Jr. of Wolfeboro, NH., Patty M. Kresco of Moultonborough, NH. 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, her step son Robert and her step daughter, Terri, many Nieces and nephews Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Lakes Region Visiting Nursing Association, 186 Wankewan St. Meredith, NH. 03253 or http://www.lrvna.org
