Roland Boucher Obituary

Roland J. Boucher, 85, of Meredith, NH passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on December 30. Roland was born in Trois Rivieres, Quebec, Canada. Most of his adult life was spent living in Chelmsford, MA, and working as a structural and aerospace engineer at Textron. Roland valued family and education. He was a founding member of the Chelmsford Swim and Tennis Club and a consultant to the Sisters of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro, MA. He retired to Meredith, NH in 1992, where he was the first president of the Patrician Shores Association, and actively supported the building of the current St. Charles Borromeo Church. Roland loved the beauty of Lake Winnipesaukee, the White Mountains, and all outdoor activities, especially hiking and skiing. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Therese, 5 children, Ann Glover and husband Philip, Denise Desrochers and husband, Paul, Martin Boucher and wife Heather, Francine Boucher and husband Brendan Reese, Michelle Boucher Maffeo, thirteen grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. Calling hours will be on Friday, January 6, at St. Charles Borromeo Church (www.stcharlesnh.org) in Meredith, NH, at 10 AM, with a Mass to follow at 11 AM. There will be a reception at the church, immediately following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of Notre Dame Retirement Fund (30 Jeffreys Neck Road, Ipswich, MA 01938) or St. Charles Borromeo Church.
