Jean M. Eilers, age 52 of West Long Branch, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at home. Jean was born in Long Branch and lived in Oceanport before moving to West Long Branch 20 years ago. She was a parishioner of St. Jerome Church in West Long Branch and a teacher’s aide at St. Jerome School for 10 years. Jean was predeceased by her parents, George “Bucky” and Barbara Robertson. Surviving are her husband David; two sons, Patrick and Spencer Eilers; two brothers and a sister in law, John and Donna Robertson, Michael Robertson; her sister and brother in law, Sherrie and Joseph Prout and her nieces and nephews, Melissa Campbell, her husband Jake Campbell and their daughter Abigail Campbell, Samantha Payne, Shea Prout, Jackson Prout, Justin Prout and Jesse Prout. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23 from 5 – 8 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. (corner of Third Ave.) in Long Branch. Funeral, Tuesday; 9:30 am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:30 am at St. Jerome Church in West Long Branch. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in West Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family would be appreciated.
