Joseph Rocco Agresto, age 77 of Eatontown, died Friday, November 4, 2016 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. Born in Brooklyn, NY he had lived in Eatontown for 46 years. Joseph was a travel agent for 45 years working for Eastern Airlines and Carlson-Wagonlit SATO before retiring in 2006 and was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in West End. Joe and his wife Kathy eloped 56 years ago. They were the love of each other’s lives and were best friends. There was nothing they did not do together. His love and friendship will be missed. Also surviving are two sons, Robert Agresto and his companion Karen Damiani of Staten Island, NY, Joseph Agresto of Dana Point, CA; his daughter and son in law, Kathleen and Michael Veritas of Eatontown; his sister, Rose Marceda of Long Island, NY; two grandsons, Andrew and Oliver, and several loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Brady and brother in law, Sylvio Marceda. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. (corner of Third Ave.) in Long Branch. Funeral Tuesday; 9 am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial Celebrated at 10 am at St. Michael’s Church in West End. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
