Louise Colassano

Louise Colassano, nee Gesuele, age 90 of Red Bank, New Jersey passed away peacefully on December 31st 2016 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, moved to Freehold, New Jersey with her husband Jim before finally relocating to Red Bank, New Jersey. Louise was a housewife for most of her life but also worked for Gibson Greeting Cards and the Foster Grandparents of New York City. Louise was well known for her warm personality, her love of family and her pets, and her excellent cooking skills. Louise was predeceased by her loving husband, Jim Colassano in 2013. She is survived by her son Frank Colassano and his wife Ginna; her son Jim Colassano and his wife Laura; her daughter Theresa Wurmser and her husband Eric Wurmser, granddaughter Rachel Wurmser, grandson Kurt Wurmser and his wife MaryTara, their children Isabelle and Alexander, sisters Marie Wilson and Theresa Gesuele and brother Michael Gesuele and wife Lorraine, and brother Pat Gesuele and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue, Long Branch, NJ on Friday January 6th, 2017 from 4 pm to 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 7th at 10 am at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church in Lincroft, NJ. Interment will take place immediately after at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Middletown, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Ann May Center for Nursing and Allied Health, Hackensack Meridian Health, 1355 Campus Parkway, Neptune NJ 07753 where a scholarship will be set up in her name.
