Dolores “Lorrie” Knight, 85 of Brick passed away on February 16, 2017. Lorrie was born on May 11, 1931 in Bound Brook, NJ, raised in South Bound Brook and graduated from Bound Brook High School. She married Charles Knight in 1952 and their life together began in NJ where they had four children. Careers took the family to Ohio and Arkansas and eventually back to “home” to NJ. Her most cherished roles in life were wife, mother and grandmother. Lorrie’s kindness and generosity defined her. Lorrie had a great respect for the medical field, which she worked within for many years. Even with her passing, Lorrie’s generosity remains evident, as she was a full body donor to RWJUH Medical School. Lorrie was predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Florence Harvat, husband Charles, grandson Joseph Brooks, brothers Dan, Ed, Jim, and Doug and sisters Dorothy and Irene. She is survived by her children Larry Knight, (Paul), CO; Ruth “Molly” Knight (Kevin), WI; Nancy Brooks (Michael), AR; Beth McPaul (Patrick), NJ; grandchildren Lesley Nason, Andrew Brooks, Beth Dickinson (Keith), James, Kelly and Owen McPaul; great grandchildren Annabelle, Max, Luke and Lilly; brothers Ron (Christine), MD; Tom (Elaine), NJ; sisters Marilyn (VA) and Brenda (George), NJ; many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. The memory of her smile will forever warm our hearts. There will be a “Celebration of Life” at Orender Family Home, Manasquan, NJ on Saturday, February 25th from 2pm-4pm.
