Stephen Bohacik

Stephen J. Bohacik, 73 of Manasquan and Singer Island, Florida and formerly of Brielle, passed away suddenly in Florida surrounded by his wife and friends on November 18th. Born in Newark to Stephen R and Mary (Biro) Bohacik, he was raised along with his two siblings where he began working and met his beloved wife Theresa Conti in 1964. Steve served in the US Army National Guard from 1964-1965 in the Tank Division, stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky. In 1982, Steve became the Co-founder and Principal of Component Hardware Group Inc. in Lakewood. Retiring in 2000, Steve enjoyed golfing at East Point Country Club in Singer Island, fishing with his friends and traveling the world. He was a communicant of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Sea Girt and St. Paul of the Cross in North Palm Beach, Florida. Remembered for his charitable nature, Steve and Terry supported many foundations and causes, often choosing to remain anonymous. His happiest moments were spent with his wife, his son Stephen F. and daughter-in-law Michael Mary and his “grand-dog” Sam. Steve will be fondly remembered as a kind, generous and wonderful friend to all that knew him. Predeceased by his parents, Stephen R. and Mary, he leaves behind his devoted wife, best friend and partner of forty-eight years Theresa A., his son Stephen and wife Michael Mary and his brother Richard (Fran), and sister Barbara Dolan. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law Mary Conti and sister and brother-in-law Antoinette and William G. Maloney, along with his nephews, nieces and six great-nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by his business partners, friends and family. A private viewing will be held at Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan on Monday, November 24th immediately followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mark’s Catholic Church at 12 Noon. Interment will be private at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made in his name to St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 10970 Jack Nicklaus Drive, North Palm Beach, FL 33408.
