James Ottignon

OTTIGNON, James A. Went home to be with his Lord on February 16, 2017 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Ruth (née Chapin). Devoted father of William James, June Margaret, Jean Elizabeth, Susan Adele, Patricia Anne (William Cornell) and David Alexander (Diana). Caring grandfather of Christine, William, Jean, Madeleine and Lauren; great grandfather of five. He leaves behind his dear companion, Marilyn Young Ritz. James served his country proudly in the Army Air Corps during WWII in the 69th Infantry Division, European Theater of Operations. He returned to Washington & Lee University, after the war, to complete his education where he received a BA. After thirty-four years, James retired from Texaco Inc. as Retail Trainer North East in Cherry Hill, NJ. The Ottignon Family formerly lived in Hackensack and Mt. Laurel, NJ but most recently James resided in Whiting, NJ. The Ottignon Family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, February 25th, from 10:15-10:45 AM, at the First United Methodist Church of Moorestown, 446 Camden Avenue, Moorestown, NJ 08057. The service for James will follow immediately at 11 AM. Interment, at Alderbrook Cemetery, Guilford, CT, will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the USO or to the American Red Cross.
