Richard Murray

MURRAY, Richard E. Suddenly on November 27, 2016. Of Marlton, NJ. Age 67. Beloved husband of Barbara Murray (nee Gawronski). Devoted father of Katelynne Murray and her husband Brian Bogle. Loving brother of eleven siblings; survived by Mary Schnee, Patricia Blaser, William Murray (Mary) and Michael Murray (Patricia). Richard will also be missed by many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Richard served his country proudly during Vietnam in the US Army and was awarded the Purple Heart; he is a member of the Stone Harbor VFW and VVA Liberty Bell Chapter 266. After his service he worked for over forty years at American Re-Insurance Company and after retirement he spent most of his time volunteering with other veterans. He was a part of the Honor Flight of Philadelphia Program and served as a program coordinator for the DC Memorial Trips. He loved music and especially listening to Cover Bands down the shore and spending time on the beach. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday December 3rd from 9-11:30 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt.73 and Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. A funeral service will be held 12 Noon Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Honor Flight of Philadelphia or to Philadelphia Vietnam Veterans Memorial, PO Box 364, Marlton, NJ.
