Wasshem, Evelyn Ruth, 86, of Galloway, passed away on February 7, 2017 in hospice care at The Health Center of Galloway. She was born in Warwick, RI shortly after her parents Carl and Ellen Hanson emigrated from Sweden. She and her husband, Hans, who preceded her in death in 2002, were longtime residents of Brigantine. She is survived by her son, Eric Wasshem and his wife, Clara of Hammonton; her daughter, Lisa Hoffman and her husband Bill of Philadelphia, PA; and her grandchildren: Elise and Connor Wasshem, both of Hammonton; and Erika Hoffman of Charleston, SC; and Cayley and Thom Hoffman, both of Philadelphia, PA. A memorial service will be held in April. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to The Brain Injury Association, P.O. 7416, Merrifield, VA 22116-7416.
