Gloria Cooper Obituary

Gloria Elizabeth Cooper was born on August 18, 1956. She suddenly passed away at her home on Sunday, December 25, 2016. She was the fifth child of the late Wilbur and Josephine Cooper. She was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. Gloria received Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and was baptized at North Penn Baptist Church. Throughout the years she went to technical schools in nursing and cooking. Her previous employment was through Bayada Nursing as a home health aide and Bakley's Deli for her good tasting cheesesteaks. Gloria was known by many as one of the sweetest and most lovable souls one could meet. Her smile and loving energy would shower anyone who came around her. She would never hesitate to help anyone in their time of need. Her love for her family and friends is known by all those who had the pleasure of speaking to her. She leaves behind cherished memories and her loved ones: with the love of her life the late, Robert D. Rawls; children, Kia Cooper and Wallace Gilchrist; siblings Barbara J. Cooper and Carl Cooper; five grandchildren, Aveyon, Nya, James, Eva, and Kaelyn; two nieces, three nephews, lifelong friends Pam West (cousin) and Saretta Rawls (sister in law), and a host of other relatives and friends. Last but not least "Biggie" her loving dog. She will be missed by many and her infectious smile and laugh will live on in memories of her family and friends. Services will be held: January 7th 2016 @ 1:00 pm Location is 2419 N. 27th St #23, Philadelphia PA 19132. Local Arrangements entrusted to Adams-Perfect Funeral Home.
