Argyle Sandra (Bunker) McWhorter, 74, of McEachron Hill Road has spread her wings to take care of the little children in heaven on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on March 8, 1942, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Harriet (Mumblo) Bunker. Sandra graduated from Argyle Central School in 1959, a member of the Argyle Presbyterian Church and the Argyle fire Co. Auxiliary for 50 plus years. She worked at Tyco for 44 ½ years, The Orchard Rehab Center, and Washington Center as an activity Aide. She married Ken McWhorter, on December 16, 1960 at the Durkeetown Baptist Church by Pastor Rev. Nevin Korb.. Ken passed away on June 27, 2005. She enjoyed crocheting, children and in her younger years loved to babysit. She also enjoyed shopping, visiting, eating out and most recently Facebook, but especially spending time with her family and her beloved Maltese, Missy. Besides her parents and husband, Sandra was also predeceased by her brother and sisters in-laws, Maurice Kilmer, Shirley and Edna McWhorter. Left to cherish her memory include her son Brian McWhorter and his wife Lynda, of Argyle; her grandchildren, Bradley McWhorter and Alexis McWhorter, both of Argyle; her sisters, Sharon Chapin and husband Raymond of Hartford, Audrey Myott and husband David of Hartford, her brother, Seth Bunker and his wife Maryann of Amsterdam, Her brothers and sisters in-laws, Earl McWhorter, Lois Kilmer, John McWhorter, Bruce McWhorter and wife Sue, Donald McWhorter and wife Judy, Gordon McWhorter and wife Betsy, Paul McWhorter and Wife Faith, Dwayne McWhorter Mary Lou McWhorter and Dorothy Sherman and husband Gary , and many nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved Maltese, Missy.
