John Hearn

John Joseph Hearn, 66, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY died on August 18, 2016 at Montefiore Hospital in Bronx, NY. Mr. Hearn was a therapy aide at Taconic DDSO in Wassaic, NY for 33 years retiring in 2005. Born on December 14, 1949 in Sharon, CT he was the son of the late Joseph Wallace and Jessie Louise (Roberts) Hearn. Mr. Hearn proudly served in the US Marine Corp during Vietnam. On June 23, 1973 in Amenia, NY he married Connie Ellen Begor who survives at home. Mr. Hearn was a life member of the Chestnut Ridge Rod & Gun Club. He was also an avid fisherman and fan of the New York Yankees. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hearn is survived by a daughter, Grace Demers and her husband, Darrin, of Dover Plains, NY; two sons, Shawn Hearn of Dover Plains, NY and Lance Hearn and his wife, Jennifer, of Dover Plains, NY. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jessica Ryan and her husband Robert, of Dover Plains, Andrew Simmons, Michael Ackerman, Jr. of Dover Plains, NY, John Ackerman of Dover Plains, Austin Hearn of Rhinebeck, Madison Hearn of Dover Plains and Jacob and Taylor Hearn of Pine Plains, NY and two great grandchildren, Cameron and Hayley Ryan. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Rt. 22, Dover Plains, NY.
