Ian Dilley Fort Edward, New York Obituary

Ian Dilley

HUDSON FALLS Ian M. Dilley, 40, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in Old Forge as a result of a snowmobile accident. Born November 30, 1976 in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of Eric and Beth (Gilman) Dilley. Ian owned and operated Superior Exteriors, LLC. He took great pride in his work, and always strived to do the best job he could to help people make their homes beautiful. Ian’s greatest thrill was snowmobiling. He started talking about the upcoming winter as soon as the temperatures started to drop in the fall. He also loved working on his diesel Ford truck. Most of all, Ian will always be remembered for being a very giving person who would help anyone in any way he could. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends. Ian is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, William and Lenora Dilley, and his maternal grandmother, Gertrude Gilman. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Eric and Beth (Gilman) Dilley, his significant other Britnie Walsh, his children; Nathan Dilley, Camden Dilley, and Corbin Dilley, his sister Alice Starteri and her husband Samuel, his nieces; Meghan and Kiara Starteri, his closest friend Terry Worth, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends may call from 4-6:30pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30pm following calling hours at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Davidson of Church of the King officiating.
