Anthony Barilli Obituary

Anthony J. “Tony” Barilli, 79, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1969 and previously of the Bronx, died on November 3, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born on January 1, 1937 in the Bronx, Tony was the son of Joseph and Philomena “Fanny” (Casale) Barilli. Tony proudly served our country in the United States Naval Reserves from 1954 -1979 retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. He was the owner and operator of Time Out Restaurant for 18 years until his retirement in 1997. He managed the Time Out Golf League for over 30 years, and also enjoyed painting, photography, woodworking and cooking. On November 4, 1961 in the Bronx, Tony married the love of his life, Elaine Schubert who survives at home. Other survivors include his children, Scott Barilli and wife Dawn of Walden, and Lori Barilli and fiancé Jay Corbo of LaGrange; his grandchildren, Kaileigh Osarczuk-Verner and her husband Jae Verner, and Tucker Osarczuk; his brother, Vinny Barilli; many cousins and friends including his golf buddies; and his favorite dog, Charlie. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2-5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will follow at 5pm with military honors.
