Harold Harden

Harold E. Harden, Jr., 59, a lifelong area resident, died on December 26, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Staatsburg on December 19, 1957, he was the son of Harold E. and Geraldine (Baright) Harden of Hopewell Junction. Harold was employed as a Lead Technician for IBM in East Fishkill for 33 years until his retirement earlier this year. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in Dutchess County, and playing golf. He was also a long-time member of the Southern Dutchess Dart League. On October 17, 1981 in Fishkill, Harold married Carrie Flynn who survives at home. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Jacob Harden of Poughkeepsie, Michael Harden of Walden, Andrew Harden and wife Teresa of Montgomery, and Rachel Harden of Hopewell Junction; his siblings and their spouses, David Harden of Hopewell Junction, Jeff and Kris Harden of Long Island, Brian and Donna Harden of Wingdale, and Linda and Greg Woodsum of NH; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Irene and Dave Flynn of Chambersburg, PA; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Ken Franklin of Sterling, VA, Amy and Conrad Osterwalder of Centerville, VA, Jeannie and Steve Mathews of Vienna, VA, Dan Flynn of Reston, VA, Linda and Scott Syska of Wappingers Falls, Diane and Jon Strang of Culpeper, VA, and Mary and Will Jackson of Hopewell Junction; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
