Calvin D. Wyman
<p>MASSENA – Mr. Calvin D. Wyman, 91, passed away Monday evening, October 17, 2016 at Massena Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. </p><p><br></p><p>Calvin was born November 9, 1924 in Massena, the son of the late Charles E. and Winnie O. Bowen Wyman and was graduate of Massena High School. Calvin proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II. On April 12, 1947, he married Marion Bashaw at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Leslie A. Potter, officiating. Marion predeceased him on June 12, 2015. </p><p><br></p><p>Calvin worked in the electrical trades at Reynold’s Metals for several years until his retirement. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Massena Rod and Gun Club. He truly cherished the time he was able to spend outdoors, hunting, fishing, and target shooting. He also enjoyed woodcarving – especially birds, was an avid hockey fan, and very seldom missed a sporting event of his grandchildren. </p><p><br></p><p>Calvin is survived by his children, Carole Mulvaugh of Massena and Craig J. Wyman of Richmond, Virginia; six grandchildren; and 3 great grandsons. </p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his parents and wife, Calvin was predeceased by two sons, Van B. Wyman on February 27, 2008 and Calvin P. Wyman on September 3, 2016; and his brother, Arnold E. Wyman on May 28, 2006. </p><p><br></p><p>There will be no calling hours. A celebration of his life will be held privately at the convenience of the family.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>Obituary
