NORFOLK – Mr. Craig A. Chepeleff, 48, of 3484 County Route 47, unexpectedly passed away Saturday morning, January 14, 2017 at his home.

Craig was born October 7, 1968 in Rochester, the son of the late John A. Chepeleff and Shirley A. Avery Chepeleff. He graduate of Indian Lake Central School and later from Canton ATC. On September 4, 1997, he married Katerine B. Kalvaitis at their home.

Craig first worked for Rist-Frost in Glens Falls before working at Alcoa as contractor. He then went to work for Alcoa, where he continued for12 years before starting with the New York Power Authority. He was a member of the Massena Rifle & Pistol and Rod & Gun Club, and the Norfolk Rod & Gun Club. Craig was an avid hunter, and fisherman, and was enjoying remodeling his home.

He is survived by his wife, Katerine; his mother, Shirley Chepeleff of Austell, Georgia; his sister, Sheri C. and Brian S. McCormick of Charlotte, North Carolina; his brother, Todd A. and Amy K. Chepeleff of Powder Springs, Georgia; and his niece and nephew, Ethan and Ellie Chepeleff.

Craig was predeceased by his father, John A. Chepeleff in 1995.

Friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home Wednesday 4-7 PM. Funeral services will be held privately.

Memorial donations may be made in Craig’s memory to the Potsdam Animal Shelter, Massena Rod & Gun Club, or the Norfolk Rescue Squad.
